Open Letter To Senator John Kennedy Who Roasted The BBC In The U.S. Senate

Senator John Kennedy

Senator John Kennedy was also appalled by the BBC’s attempted character assassination of President Donald Trump.

Context: Reason for writing to Senator John Kennedy
The day after Paul S. Waugh sent his Open Letter to President Donald Trump, Senator John Kennedy stood up in the U.S. Senate and expressed his outrage at the tyranny and hubris exhibited by the BBC.

Senator John Kennedy also expressed compassion for the British public who are bullied, intimidated, threatened and deceived into paying £3.8bn (around $5bn) each year for the BBC as the public broadcaster that promotes its biased propaganda on a global scale to hundreds of millions across the globe.

When introducing his 12-minute roasting of the BBC in the U.S. Senate, Senator John Kennedy started by saying,

“The second thing I want to talk about makes me want to put my head in the oven… British Broadcasting Corporation, we’ve all heard of it, BBC.”

You can watch Senator Kennedy’s speech expressing his outrage in the U.S. Senate on 19th November 2025.

Below the video is Paul S. Waugh’s open letter to Senator John Kennedy which he sent on the day it was confirmed that President Donald J. Trump would be suing the BBC for $10bn.

RE: THE REALITY OF YOUR SPEECH ABOUT THE BBC IN THE U.S. SENATE – MY OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT TRUMP EXPOSING BBC CORRUPTION

PUBLIC LINK TO OPEN LETTER: WHAT THE BBC DID TO PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, IT DID TO US MANY TIMES AT LIGHTHOUSE

BBC Corruption, Doctoring of Evidence, and Call for a Wider Investigation

Dear Senator Kennedy,

I awoke to the news that President Donald Trump intends to sue the BBC for $10bn for its attempted character assassination of him as a President, public figure, husband, father and human being. It is in line with this news that I write to you personally as a fellow Christian.

1. The Significance & Importance of You Speaking About the BBC in the U.S. Senate

Thank you for taking to the floor of the United States Senate last month (November 19, 2025) to warn the American people about the BBC’s political interference, editorial manipulation and institutional corruption.

Senator, you did not simply give a speech, you did what millions wished someone in authority would finally do: tell the truth plainly, publicly and without fear. You spoke for far more people than you may realise. Many have suffered in silence, and last week you gave them a voice. You recognised what others have avoided voicing, this is not journalism, it is state-backed propaganda funded through $5bn’s worth of forced licence fees paid by the British public each year.

2. My Open Letter to President Donald J. Trump

It is with the same courage and conviction that I have written to President Trump regarding the identical corruption and deception I have experienced personally at the hands of the BBC.

OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT TRUMPhttps://citizenintervention.org/letter-to-donald-trump-181125/

This letter, now circulating across the United States and the United Kingdom, sets out the evidence of systematic abuse by the BBC, including its deliberate distortion of President Trump’s January 6, 2021 speech.

3. Foreign Interference in U.S. Politics

As you highlighted, the BBC did not merely report on President Trump’s January 6 speech, it deliberately re-engineered it. They selectively spliced, edited and reconstructed two entirely separate sections of a one-hour address, around 50 minutes apart, to falsely imply that President Trump incited violence. That was not journalism, it was political warfare conducted by a British taxpayer-funded broadcaster.

This is not an isolated error, cultural drift or unfortunate oversight. It is part of a long-standing institutional pattern.

4. They Used the Same Tactics Against Us

I say this with direct, painful, first-hand experience. The BBC did the same thing to me and to Lighthouse Global, the organisation I founded 21 years ago. They knowingly edited interviews, withheld evidence, removed exculpatory context and constructed a defamatory narrative that reached millions across the world. They did so despite knowing the truth, and despite repeated attempts by myself and my team to correct the record. This is why I describe their conduct as deliberate, not mistaken.

As part of our response (now lasting over 3 years) we are publishing an in-depth series exposing the modus operandi of the BBC entitled “Unmasking the Beast: The Final Reckoning for the BBC – Citizen Intervention Global’s Unrelenting Investigation Confronting Amongst the Worst of Humanity”. This article shares more on how the BBC attempted to character assassinate President Donald Trump through deliberately doctoring his speech.

5. The Michael Prescott Report Confirms What Many Already Knew

You referenced the internal report produced by whistleblower Michael Prescott, commissioned to help the BBC address its systemic bias and ideological capture. It was ignored and buried until leaked. That report confirms:

  • institutionalised political activism within the newsroom,
  • editorial decisions driven by agenda, not fact,
  • and a culture of invincibility fuelled by compulsory public funding.

As you correctly stated, British citizens are forced to finance the very institution misleading them, under threat of prosecution.

6. A Call for U.S. Leadership

I understand the FCC has already initiated contact with the BBC. This is an encouraging first step, and I wholeheartedly support it. I respectfully ask that you continue pressing for a thorough, public and bipartisan investigation, because the BBC:

  1. broadcasts into the United States,
  2. influences American elections and public opinion, and
  3. attempted to destabilise a U.S. presidential candidate weeks before a national vote.

That is foreign interference by definition.

7. Citizen Intervention Global & Class Action

To prevent further harm, we have established Citizen Intervention Global (CIG), an intervention body created to confront abuses of power when governments, regulators or media institutions fail to protect citizens.

One of CIG’s first major initiatives now underway is the development of a Class Action on behalf of every individual, family or organisation harmed by the BBC’s corruption and evil. This action seeks full accountability for the BBC’s lies, deception and cover-ups relating to sexual abuse, systemic wrongdoing and institutional bias along with the long-term personal, financial and reputational damage inflicted on its victims.

Myself and my team hold hundreds of thousands of pages of evidence demonstrating these abuses. I have also offered my full support to President Trump and his legal team should action be taken against the BBC.

8. Why This Matters to the American People

This issue extends far beyond one broadcaster or one political figure. It concerns:

  1. the integrity of democratic discourse,
  2. the safeguarding of free societies,
  3. the protection of ordinary citizens from institutional intimidation, and
  4. the moral responsibility of public servants to defend truth.

If an unaccountable foreign state broadcaster can manipulate, smear and politically interfere without consequence, then no citizen, family, business, church or elected official is safe.

9. Closing Appeal

Senator, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you or your staff, privately or formally, to: provide evidence, brief your office, support congressional inquiry, and assist in protecting Americans from state-sponsored media manipulation.

Your leadership has already made a meaningful difference. Many are grateful.

In faith and in truth,

Paul S. Waugh

Bravo Senator John Kennedy! Said what so many of us in the UK know about the BBC. As Senator John Kennedy says, given the vast reach of the BBC, they ought to be fair, balanced and accurate. I can confirm that they are none of these things. They know they have the resources to lie and be incredibly biased and that most of their victims will be able to do so little about it. However President Trump can. So well done on calling them out so publicly Senator John Kennedy.

Absolutely. The BBC are following on their own sword. There’s precedent as Senator Kennedy says, they stopping funding for a public broadcaster. And where ours is tyrannical and against its own citizens, we ought not to fund that.

The BBC have built reach over a hundred years through indoctrinating children and families. We are building reach through truth, soul to soul connections in The Holy Spirit. Between Paul and Senator Kennedy, between brothers and sisters in Christ all over, between concerned citizens. The human spirit in God’s Spirit, will rise up powerfully. I love this letter to the Senator. And Mr Kennedy, God bless your heart, your passion and conviction for the truth. May God protect you in your work to champion the truth.

International interference in politics. Nothing new for a Marxist-driven propaganda machine…

God bless Senator Kennedy for saying it exactly as it is—point-blank, with facts and evidence laid out clearly in the BBC whistleblower’s report. As we learn more about the establishment, it is sadly no longer surprising how the BBC (and other organisations) have been able to get away with this for so long. Thank you for sharing this open letter with him. I pray that he receives it with earnestness and grace, and that he responds to our appeal, because this really needs to come to an end—and it will, with the 4Rs in Christ 🙏 Thank you.

God bless Senator Kennedy! Needless to say his humour and wit to raise very important questions is so refreshing. The fact that the BBC are being called out worldwide and that President Trump has now filed his suit against the BBC, from what I understand, this is really timely. And the President said that one thing that will come from suing them is that they will find out who else they’ve done this to. Well, enter Lighthouse.

Yes very few people can stand up to a £5bn in income (forced from the licence fee payer) global media propaganda machine – we need more Mr Kennedy’s and President Trumps and citizens to come together collectively to show the BBC abuses it’s resources.

Thank you Senator Kennedy! Many UK government officials aren’t speaking up and out about the BBC like you are! We pray you receive our email and that you continue to call out the BBC for all its blatant corruption and incompetency!

Can you imagine if we had him here in the UK? What a powerhouse

The fact that Senator John Kennedy felt compelled to present the case of the BBC splicing Donald Trump’s speech along with other instances of its woke propaganda shows how serious this matter is. I was shocked to hear that America’s public broadcaster operates on the fraction of the BBC’s budget. From speaking to people who’ve worked at or with the BBC I’ve heard there’s a great waste of resources in the way they operate. That’s before even getting into the lies, propaganda, abuse and criminal behaviour by its staff.

People in the United States are looking at us in the UK and saying, “You pay $5bn a year for that?!?” It’s not only embarrassing, but it’s a violation. What happens when people only pay for the BBC if they want it? That will be the acid test as to whether it is genuinely operating in the public interest…

Absolutely. Shows the difference between the USA and UK – one country was established to be free of tyranny. The other continues to enact tyranny on its own citizens through the State media BBC.

Thank you Senator John Kennedy, for speaking up. His speech went right to the point. The BBC need to be exposed for their malicious corruption, and this is exactly what is happening.

I pray that this email is received and that Paul will get the opportunity to speak to either Senator Kennedy in person or members of his staff.

This is very refreshing to read. Thank you, Senator Kennedy. It is long overdue that the BBC’s wrongdoing is examined on a much larger scale and that meaningful measures are taken to address its repeated failures and misrepresentation.

Given the BBC’s enormous global reach, its influence cannot be overstated. With that reach comes responsibility, yet it has too often been abused through the spread of falsehoods, about the US President, about groups such as ours, and about many others. What is coming to light is only the tip of the iceberg.

I greatly value Paul’s letter to you. As Paul rightly points out, there is substantial evidence documenting the BBC’s misconduct. The time has come for genuine accountability and serious reform or, failing that, for the BBC to be shutdown.

God bless you, Senator Kennedy.

God bless Senator Kennedy for raising this in the US and for saying on record the things that he has about this utterly corrupt state funded marxist propaganda monster that is the BBC. As the Senator says in his address, the BBC are like an octopus with tentacles everywhere! They have proven they are a threat to truth, free speech and free thinking people everywhere. Let’s not forget, they are one of the oldest broadcasters on the planet and despite so many scandals from with revealing all kinds of wickedness and abuse, sexual and otherwise, they are still standing. The only reason for that being that the UK establishment behind the governments wants it there to do their bad bidding of indoctrinating the public to comply with their agendas. We look to the US, where sense, logic and principle still reside, and with people like the Senator and President Trump have the resources to come in and take this tentacled beast to task with us. The BBC needs total reform or must be replaced, if not made totally redundant. By God’s grace that’s now closer than it’s ever been.

The more that I look into the BBC, the more I see examples of heinous wrongdoing, terrible crimes and concerning propaganda. I can’t now unsee the reality of this institution I trusted for most of my life.
