The Establishment and The Abortion Cult: Isabel Vaughan-Spruce Pleads Not Guilty in Hearing

“Three years ago, I was vindicated in Birmingham Magistrates’ Court after being charged for silently praying on a public street. Yet sadly that wasn’t the end of things. I found myself in the same court today, charged again for my silent prayers.

“My behaviour hasn’t changed in that time. I’ve simply stood inside an abortion ‘buffer zone’, on a public street, and silently prayed—meaning my thoughts were turned towards God.

“I’ve not held any posters, offered any leaflets, spoken with anyone or spoken out loud at all. I’ve not interacted with anyone in any way. Yet I’m being treated like a criminal. This is viewpoint discrimination. Standing is not a crime, silence is not a crime, thinking is not a crime.”
– Isabel Vaughan-Spruce

Today, Isabel Vaughan-Spruce stood at the Birmingham Magistrate’s Court, charged under Section 9 of the Public Order Act 2023. Her behaviour, praying silently in her own head, was described as “reckless”.

Ms Vaughan-Spruce pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Isabel Vaughan-Spruce: A Target of The Establishment

As we have reported before, Isabel Vaughan-Spruce has faced a tirade of accusations and charges from the police. These had to be dismissed because she has not committed a crime. In fact, she has received over £10,000 compensation from the police because of these false arrests.

Yet seemingly the Establishment is determined to make an example out of her by bringing more charges against her. Why? Because she is not compliant with their pro-abortion agenda. This agenda, make no mistake, is a child-murdering cult. Through years of propaganda, indoctrination, and miseducation, millions of people worldwide have partaken in the murder of their own and others’ children, in the name of freedom, self-protection, and healthcare.

As anti-abortion advocate Stephen Gruber puts it: “Abortion is the sacrament of Satan.”

Those behind this agenda want the masses to live in fear of what the system could do to them. The Crown Prosecution Service has been directed to do so, preparing to bring five witnesses against Ms Vaughan-Spruce to ensure the conviction be made against her.

Section 9 of the Public Order Act 2023 prohibits “influencing any person’s decision to access, provide or facilitate the provision of abortion services” within 150 metres of an abortion facility.

However, Ms Vaughan-Spruce was charged because she “stood outside” the abortion facility. The Public Order Act does not mention mere presence, standing, or silently praying in a “buffer zone” as offences.

The Process is The Punishment

Yet the hearing today, as we have seen many times before, was not straightforward. There were delays of over an hour before the proceedings even began. Technology failings meant that forms had to be printed and filled out manually.

The Crown Prosecution Service initially sought to bring five witnesses to prove their case against Isabel Vaughan-Spruce. As Judge Tanweer Ikram noted, the facts of the case were clear: standing outside an abortion clinic required no further corroboration. The court did not need five witnesses to prove that to be true, yet the CPS appeared to believe that multiplying testimony would somehow strengthen their case.

This raises the question of exactly how competent the Crown Prosecution Service is, especially in its ability to prioritise and allocate resources effectively to the most crucial and vital criminal matters that affect the governance of this country.

In 2024, the Criminal Justice Joint Inspection published a report regarding the CPS about recruitment and retention difficulties. In it, the report stated, “Lack of suitable counsel to prosecute and defend, particularly in rape and serious sexual offences, has contributed to delays and ineffective trials, adding to the already considerable Crown Court backlog.” Further, the CJJI said a “key ongoing risk” was “the levels of inexperience”, citing that “all the external new starters who joined the CPS between January 2022 and April 2023, 139 left within 12 months.” Yes, all of the CPS’ new pupils in 2022-23 left the organisation within a year for better career prospects.

Such questionable decisions by the CPS are crucial to be aware of. That one intention alone, to bring five witnesses to this trial would have transformed the case into a five-day hearing. Why is that fact important? Because it could have delayed the case being heard until January 2027.

This is just one minor element of how the process is an arduous trial in itself. That is a whole twelve months of preparation, public scrutiny, and working with lawyers and others to prepare for trial. We believe that 90% of these administrative issues and errors could have been addressed outside of the hearing today. Yet the current and severely outdated system is something that the Establishment seems content with and does nothing about changing.

Why? Likely, because the Establishment wants total control to be able to get the results it desires in line with its agenda. By making the system so complicated and bureaucratic, it can emotionally wear down those at its behest knowing that they are unlikely to have the financial resources to be able employ the lawyers who can fight the system.

According to the latest government figures as of March 2025, the current number of cases still open, i.e. the backlog at the Magistrate’s Court in this country is 310,304. Compared to just over 70,000 cases at Crown Court, it is clear where the bottleneck, and therefore the problem, lies. Given that 90% of criminal cases are not only brought before the Magistrate’s Court, but also heard in full, one can see where the judicial system is facing severe breakdowns and scrutiny.

Yet in a time where it appears judges and politicians are making very disturbing decisions and verdicts, Judge Ikram rightly and thankfully questioned the CPS as to why any witnesses were needed in such a clear and obvious case. The matter was then appropriately brought forward, where Ms Vaughan-Spruce will now stand trial between the 6th–9th October 2026.

This appears to be another case of the process being used to punish not just Ms Vaughan-Spruce, but everyone involved. Time, energy, and money are all used up on matters that could be swiftly dealt with through other means.

Systemic Constraints

At the same time, we appreciate that the CPS do not have an easy job and we do not want to in any way demonise them. They too have budgetary constraints and often have limited resources at their disposal and often have to make difficult decisions. They cannot match the salaries nor the allure of the private sector. Nevertheless, given their constraints, it certainly seems that they have a habit of “shooting themselves in the foot.”

Indeed, given what we have shared above, it needs to be questioned whether the cases they bring to court are politically driven or legally driven. They are, after all, using tax-payers money. The public has a right to know why certain cases are brought to trial. By and large, the public would assume a case is brought to trial by the CPS because it is in the public interest. But that is not always the case. The public also has a right to know why in such cases as this, there is such a disproportionate use of already limited resources. If it were up to the British public, perhaps would they rather those resources be used to solve more burglaries for example, where—currently—the police have failed to solve a single burglary in half of the country’s neighbourhoods?

Truth, Justice and Reality for Isabel Vaughan-Spruce

Despite this, members of the public made the effort to travel to the courts to show their support for Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, knowing that the charges against her are another example of lawfare, and how the Establishment is pushing for greater coercive over-control over the citizens of this country, right down to our thoughts and prayers. As Ms Vaughan-Spruce’s legal counsel stated clearly,

“The fact that someone can be criminally prosecuted merely for their thoughts and beliefs should serve as a wake-up call to all those concerned with the state of freedom of expression and thought in Great Britain.”

These are cases that Christians and every concerned citizen ought to be aware of. But we encourage you not to treat this as just another headline. This is not some disconnected issue. The Establishment, we remind you, is using Isabel as an example. You are only a few degrees of separation from her. That social media post. That hashtag. That choice not to use “pronouns” in your email signature.

Make no mistake, this global totalitarian cult wants to have its way and wants total, unrelenting control over every citizen. If they cannot get that control wilfully, they will seek it by inflicting fear into you, your children, and your neighbours.

Jesus Christ foretold all of this over two thousand years ago. We must not be afraid of these malicious attacks, but we must not be complacent either. We need to be increasingly discerning, watchful, compassionate, and loving, including and especially to those who try to attack or harm us.

“But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” – Matthew 5:44

This is one of the many reasons why we are launching The Lighthouse magazine imminently.

We at Lighthouse Global and Citizen Intervention Global stand in support of our sister in Christ, Isabel, and her legal team fighting this injustice. Just as we stand with our brothers Kris, Jatinder and Sukh in their case.

Thank you for this article and for the update. We stand in full support of Isabel Vaughan‑Spruce, as well as our brothers Kris, Sukh, and Jatinder, for all they have endured at the hands of the establishment and its agenda. There will be justice—above all by our Father in Heaven and by the decree of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is astonishing what Seth Gruber says about abortion—I never knew that. This case shows how the punishment is more often than not in the process itself, with vast resources wasted that could instead be used to do good for humanity. We will press on and stand with all who face such trials, as one united body of Christ. God bless and grant grace to everyone involved. x x

Thank you for these insights into the hearing in the case against Isabel Vaughan-Spruce. Being arrested for silently praying in front of an abortion clinic reveals the nature of the state we are living in and the level of control the establishment seeks to exert over its citizens. The process itself, and the long wait for a verdict, becomes a form of punishment even when a person is innocent. That is why it is vital to stand together and protect one another against injustice and harmful agendas.

Thank you for this article. This is quite ludicrous. Having had the pleasure of meeting Isabel Vaughan-Spruce personally I know one thing for certain- she is not reckless. I hope justice is enacted swiftly. God bless her 🙏

Phew. The reality of what happens in the court process is something I believe the public are very uneducated on. May God bless and protect Isabel, as these cases against her mount up. She is a defender of the most innocent and vulnerable children. I pray for justice to be upheld in this trial and stand in support of you Isabel.

I’m seeing more how the punishment through the process is exacerbated through ineptitude. Reading the work of The Secret Barrister has certainly been eye-opening to say the least. Citizens don’t care about the judicial system until it affects them directly.

Meanwhile, the fact that Isabel Vaughan-Spruce is being charged after being compensated not too long ago shows how much our laws are being manipulated and weaponised. It is tyrannical to be arrested for praying in your head in public. George Orwell wrote about thought crimes in his book 1984, and here we’re seeing that play out in reality with real lives and real freedoms at stake.

Thank you very much for including the Seth Gruber video because the sheer, unadulterated evil agenda behind the encouragement and facilitation of the murder of babies in the womb, needs to be made clear to all who will listen.

They punish people like Isabel, Dr. Livia Tossici-Bolt, Adam Smith Connor, Clive Johnston, through the process and as you look deeper, their focus is to ensure as many babies die as possible for purely satanic reasons, and they will stop at nothing to ensure not one moral soul gets in the way of this.
We pray for all of our world’s murdered babies, we know they are in the arms of the LORD and we pray for every courageous man and woman who stand for them no matter the consequences, God bless them all 🙏

The fact that Ms Vaughan-Spruce standing in a street as a normal citizen of this country and praying silently in her head is being termed as “reckless” by the CPS is unbelievably farcical! Getting into a car to drive home drunk at 2am is reckless, assaulting someone because they say something that offends you is reckless, how can praying in silence be called reckless? To anyone observing this objectively this case is clearly politically motivated and no doubt in my mind is being pushed down from on high. Just as with the news recently that NHS trusts are making it mandatory to make it possible to assign gender to babies different to their biological sex at birth, this is all political and farcical, as well as frighteningly dangerous for where it shows our country is heading. The fact that the Crown has such enormous retention difficulties is telling in itself. I don’t think its just that young lawyers see better prospects to work in the private sector, but I suspect many don’t want to play any role in enacting such ludicrous and tyrannical agendas either. I pray for Isabel and that her case here again only shows up the tyranny and cult behaviour of this national cult that the UK is becoming more and more overtly. The costs to us citizens is indefensible and we must speak out on this and hold them to account!

Each day that this case goes on, there is more stress on Isabel and her family. I pray that justice is served and that she is vindicated of any charges because she has committed NO crime.

The establishment is making things very difficult for Christians to say anything. This is why we need to stand strong as The Body of Christ, stand together and have faith and belief in Him.

Cases like Isabel Vaughan-Spruce and many others will be shared more in The Lighthouse, which will be released very soon.

God bless us all and please pray for Isabel and her family, Amen x x

May God bless Ms Vaughan-Spruce.
It is horrendous to see the CPS and police go after someone based on their thoughts and prayers. That is a very dangerous and slippery slope to go down.
I pray that God’s will be done and that basic fundamental human rights will be maintained.

It’s heartbreaking and infuriating to see Isabel Vaughan-Spruce being treated like this. The fact that the establishment is prosecuting her for standing against abortion, which is the taking of innocent life, shows just how far the system has gone in prioritising ideology over truth and justice. God bless Isabel Vaughan-Spruce for standing firm in what is right, and may she be protected and vindicated.
